TOURCODE 59898 (KMK-1) Description
The Mekong is one of the world’s great river systems, flowing nearly 5000 km through six countries: China, Myanmar, Thailand, Lao PDR, Cambodia, and Vietnam. The source of the river’s great productivity is its seasonal variation in water level and the range of wetland habitats inundated.
Few people can say they’ve kayaked the Mekong River. This is a low-water season kayaking experience you won’t forget that takes you through beautiful jungle countryside as you paddle down the mother river of southeast Asia – the mighty Mekong.

Low water season, February to July:
You’ll meet your guide in Luang Prabang for a short transfer with kayaks to a boat launch on the southern edge of Luang Prabang city. After a brief safety review, you’ll begin kayaking down a section of river infrequently visited by tourists.
