Day 01 Boat Ride and Village Exploration

This two-day tour begins with a relaxing boat ride along the Nam Ou River from Nong Khiaw to Muang Ngoi, where you'll explore the village and visit a cave and viewpoint. Next, you'll travel about 20 minutes by boat to Sop Kong village, walk through the village and rice paddies to the MOK waterfalls for swimming, followed by lunch. Afterward, you'll return to Sop Kong Village for a homestay, where you'll learn to cook local cuisine.

Day 02 Scenic Hiking and Village Tour

After breakfast, cross the Ou River to Sop Khan, and walk for two hours to Phayong, then continue for another 1.5 hours to Na Luang Village for lunch and a village tour. Finally, you'll walk 1.5 hours to Vieng Kham village and take a Tuk Tuk back to Nong Khiaw.

Preparation:

Trekking sandals or trainers that you don’t mind getting wet are perfect for this trip. Warm layers are recommended from Nov-Jan. A dry set of shirt and shorts for the way back to the Homestay is good as well. We provide drinking water, snack and English speaking guide.
