Day 01 The Ascent to the Stars (D)

Your journey begins at 1:30 PM with a pickup from Delilah’s. A short van ride takes you to the trailhead, where you will begin your hike through vibrant banana plantations and lush tropical jungle. Along the way, you’ll cross mountain streams via traditional bamboo bridges.

By 4:30 – 5:00 PM, you will reach the summit—just in time to witness a spectacular sunset as the sky transforms over the "rocky spikes" that define this landscape. While you soak in the views, our staff takes care of everything, from setting up your tent to preparing a delicious, traditional Lao dinner over a campfire.

Note: Subject to avialability. Camping spots ontop Phar Kao viewpoint are limited. In case of unavailability, another viewpoint may be chosen for the overnight.

Day 02 Sunrise above the Stars (B)

Wake up early to gaze at the sun rising over a magnificent "sea of clouds" that often blankets the valley below. After enjoying hot coffee and a traditional noodle soup for breakfast, you will begin a leisurely descent. You can expect to be back in town between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM, though we are happy to adjust the timing to suit your schedule.

• Pickup: 1:30 PM at Delilah’s. This is a group tour.

• Difficulty: Moderate (Trekking shoes recommended)

What to Bring

• Clothing: Warm layers for the cool evening and early morning.

• Footwear: Sturdy trekking shoes, trainers, or sandals with good grip.

• Gear: A flashlight or headlamp and mosquito repellent.

• Personal Touches: Snacks and perhaps a small bottle of local Lao rice whisky to enjoy by the campfire.

• Full Camping Set-up: A shared tent (2 pax), sleeping bags/blankets, and comfortable inflatable mattresses with built-in pillows (Note: guests carry approx. 1kg of their gear).

• Breakfast: Hot coffee and noodle soup at the summit.
