Habits

The elephant is an intelligent, hygienic, polite, honest and patient animal. Elephants can also remember scent as well. It can sound which area is soft and which area is hard enough to walk or not.

Asian elephants are extremely sociable, forming groups of six to seven related females that are led by the oldest female, the matriarch. They are very emotional and mother elephants do love their baby elephants. If baby elephants die, the mother elephant will be sorrowful. Some elephants will cry and cannot eat for a long time.

Diet

More than two-thirds of an elephant's day may be spent feeding on grasses, but it also eats large amounts of tree bark, roots, leaves, and small stems. Cultivated crops such as bananas, rice, and sugarcane are favorite foods. Elephants are always close to a source of fresh water because they need to drink at least once a day.

Mai Sang Nuan Leaves, seedlings, and shoot can be eatable.

Banyan Tree Leaves and branches can be eatable because of sweet taste.

Nam Hun Leaves and seedlings will be eatable.
Lek rok Elephants like to eat peel a bit.
Khrua Sa Baa (Entada scandens) Stems and leaves can be eatable.
Smashed Khrua Sa Baa can be used as the elephant soap.
Khra Thong Lai or Ma Taek Khrua Elephants prefer all of the ivy and leaves as sweet taste.
Banana Stems and young leaves are the best elephant food. The sick elephants will eat it because of its softness. Also normal rice or sticky rices is now given to the Elephants as it has enough power...

Burmuda grass

Nang Yam Paa Small branches can be eatable. It is considered as drug causing elephants to take a leak.
Snake wood Both stems and snake wood fruit can be eatable as fresh blood drug. It will be given to sick elephants.
Koom There are both water and land Koom. Elephants like to eat peels, branches and young Koom.
Galaung Elephants like to eat peels and leaves.
Teak The seedlings, peels can be eatable.
Red cotton The seedlings and peels can be eatable.
